Crystal River Cave

Crystal River Cave is one of the oldest caves in Arkansas. It also is the foundation of my hometown, hence the name 'Cave City'. The cave also contains the towns main water supply which remains a constant 57 degrees. Crystal River Cave used to play a major role in the little town, and although we rely less on it today, it's still petty important.
Walking into the cave the first thing you feel is the cold air hit you. There are 5 rooms in cave all with slimy walls. In  the cold water is a certain breed of fish that are sightless and eyeless. Like any other cave there are also bats which you can hear fluttering their wings but rarely see them come out except at night. The cave is not open to visitors anymore but there is a hotels and a house made out of rocks from the cave right next to it.

Advertisement Essay: Compassion in World Farming

Animal cruelty is a big issue to some people. In this advertisement
it shows that most animals are not getting the proper treatment and
the advertisers want to make it stop.
The aim of this advertisement is to show us that we need to stop the
animal cruelty. The text and picture uses guilt to get people to make
a donation to Compassion in World Farming. The message tells us that
animals feel pain the same way humans do, so animals should get pain
medication first also.
The tone of the advertisement is sad, fearful, and desperate. I feel
that it is sad because the text lets me know that animal cruelty is
going on in a lot more places than I think and it makes me think about
how much it hurts humans to have their teeth pulled without numbing it
first. The ad is also fearful because I can see in the pigs face that
it is scared. The tone is desperate because animals are desperate for
the cruelty to stop so are some humans, that’s why they want you to
make a donation.
No human being would want to get treated the way a lot of animals get
treated, but most people don’t even realize its cruelty! This
advertisement should be like a slap in the face for people to wake up
and realize that it is cruelty and it needs to stop.

My rating: <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/222907107">5 of 5 stars</a><br /><br />
I thought the book was very powerful and gives light to the fact that more kids are doing drugs than poeple think, and most parents don't even realize their kids are doing them. It gives a clear understanding of the negative effects drugs can have on a persons life and on their attitude, it also shows that it not only destroys your own life but the people around you also.
